I recently bought a I-O Data GV-MVP/TZ USB TV tuner in Japan and have been trying to get it working with GBPVR. It appears to be (externally at least) identical to the Diamond XtremeTV PVR600 USB (and hence the Hauppauge WinTV PVR USB2) so I had some hope.
I've added the following to my direct.ini file based on what I found looking in the supplied drivers (everything is the same as the Diamond Xtreme setup except for the FILTER_* stuff:
[I-O DATA GV-MVP/TZ USB]
INIT_MODE=IVAC
INIT_MSP=1
SUPPORTS_FM_RADIO=1
DETECT_MSP=0
FILTER_CROSSBAR=NEC AvFrontUSB MCE Crossbar
FILTER_CAPTURE=NEC AvFrontUSB MCE Capture
FILTER_TV_TUNER=NEC AvFrontUSB MCE TvTuner
FILTER_TV_AUDIO=NEC AvFrontUSB MCE TvAudio
PIN_CROSSBAR_VIDEO_TUNER_IN=Video Tuner In
PIN_TVTUNER_ANALOG_VIDEO_OUT=Analog Video
PIN_TVTUNER_ANALOG_AUDIO_OUT=Analog Audio
PIN_TVAUDIO_TV_AUDIO_IN=TVAudio In
PIN_TVAUDIO_TV_AUDIO_OUT=TVAudio Out
PIN_CROSSBAR_AUDIO_TUNER_IN=Audio Tuner In
PIN_CROSSBAR_VIDEO_DECODER_OUT=Video Decoder Out
PIN_CAPTURE_ANALOG_VIDEO_IN=Analog Video In
PIN_CROSSBAR_AUDIO_DECODER_OUT=Audio Decoder Out
PIN_CAPTURE_ANALOG_AUDIO_IN=Analog Audio In
PIN_CAPTURE_CAPTURE_OUT=Capture
PIN_CAPTURE_PREVIEW_AUDIO_OUT=Preview Audio
PIN_WRITER_INPUT_IN=Input
This leads to GBPVR recognising the card and running the Tuning Assistant detects the correct channels at the right frequencies so something is working. However, when I run GBPVR and select Live TV I just get a blank screen. I have the GPL MPEG2 Decoder installed and selected as my Video Decoder in the Software MPEG-2 Playback section of the configuration. I haven't changed any other settings in GBPVR from the defaults though.
Does anyone have any hints on what I could fiddle with to get it working? It's possible I've missed something really obvious in the setup - this is my first time using a TV tuner card.
Thanks for any suggestions.
