<edit>

Ok if you just bought one of these and it wont work, try adding this to the bda.ini file in your gbpvr directory

(copy from under here)

[Tevion DVB-T 100]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-T
FILTER_TUNER=TEVION DVBT BDA Tuner/Demod
FILTER_CAPTURE=TEVION DVBT 2388x Transport Stream Capture
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

[Tevion DVB-T 100 alternate]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-T
FILTER_TUNER=DigiGo DVBT BDA Tuner/Demod
FILTER_CAPTURE=DigiGo DVBT 2388x Transport Stream Capture
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

(stop copy above here)

Ok todays special aldi offer is a Tevion DVB-t 100 freeview pci card.

Out the box you get the card, a remote, a battery, a crap aerial, user guide, install guide, software/driver cd.

How did the install go?

poorly, installed drivers, rebooted machine, as instructed, installed software, ran software, found card, wont tune.

reboot machine, card tunes, slowly...........

Card works, slowly..............

Channels change, slowly.........(ie 5-7 seconds with stuttering!)

Tried to setup gbpvr, device manager identified drivers as.

tevion dvbt bda tuner demod driver
tevion dvbt 2388x av stream crossbar
conexant dvbt 2388x video capture
conexant dvbt 2388x transport stream capture

which looked ok as its a conexant chipset stamped

conexant
BROADCAST DECODER
CX23883-19
52004335
0544 KOREA

But no editing of the BDA.ini worked.

A reinstall and things have changed with the drivers and it now says in device manager..

tevion dvbt bda tuner demod driver
tevion dvbt 2388x av stream crossbar
tevion dvbt 2388x video capture
tevion dvbt 2388x transport stream capture

So, back to editing the bda.ini, still no go.........

Running the directx enumerator shows none of them, but does show capture drivers drivers from digigo...........

editing the bda.ini to 'digigo dvbt bda tuner/demod' worked a treat and the card now works in gbpvr...........

Where the digigo came form I have no idea, the machine I am installing in on my desktop has seen loads of hardware over the years etc, but I think, and is more likely, that Tevion have rebranded digigo drivers and missed a string or two......

Good work

Can you watch TV in GBPVR now ?
Try to get the Cyberlink Multiplexer, so you can record to MPEG2 files also.

Post you BDA section, then Sub can perhaps include it in next GBPVR relaese.
We have a section of supported cards that we just added in the Wiki.

I have been working on some GBPVR info

Yes I can watch TV and I have a few successful recordings, and 1 that has about a second of audio/video then nothing, but is about right size for 30 minutes, odd.

I have hit problems trying to put two cards in, as in 1 card will receive ok and the other wont, it looks like a faulty card so its going back tomorro to be swapped, as even on its own its not as good as the other.

As to the muxer, it says this...
GB-PVR has detected the following multiplex filters on your machine:

Found: CyberLink MPEG Muxer
FILE: C:\Program Files\TEVION Multimedia\DVB-T PLUS\DTVR\MpgMux.ax
VERSION: 5.0.0813

So I dont know why I cant FF/REW etc

It's quite possible that the drivers for the card don't allow multiple instances of cards to work at the same time. The nova-t was like this until they updated the drivers.

Its such shit at the moment in that bugger all seems to work except the nice vitual consoles, I'll try installing them. (If they ever download)

they are drivers from kworld, and say no card detected, you can force them in, but no change.

seems I had confused windows at that point as the install cd would not find the card either.......

further investication shows its also sold as a ADS Tech Instant TV DVB-T PCI (PTV-334)

http://www.bttv-gallery.de/pict0002.jpg-...0334_a.jpg

very similar in (chipset construction) to

Hauppauge WinTV Go 2 model 750

WinTV Go model 607 34705 J198

Pixelview PlayTV@P3000
