Disk usage is good idea. Its a good place to start because its not too complex.

If you have any questions just ask.

An obvious one not sure if possible,

A plugin to burn files to CD/DVD.

Also a wishful one:

To display a web page, I understand interaction with it would be near impossible, but to display one would be good. i.e lottery results or sports results page.

Also if its just loading a Url could you not pass paramaters into the url to load a webpage related to a file. i.e when you highlight the file "Stairway to heaven - Led Zepplin.mp3" a button would a appear saying load info, then it could pass led zepplin to a url such as http://www.google.co.uk/search?....g+Lucky

Like I say very wishful.

[b Wrote:Quote[/b] (sub @ Mar. 12 2004,21:31)]Also not really a plugin, but we need some sort of virtual keyboard for remote control users. I need something like this on the manual recordings screen to collect a name for the file, but this could useful on lots of screens.

I can't program, but just a suggestion for the text input. Why not use the letters that are printet over the number buttons on the silver hauppauge remote? Then you could type text in the same way as on a mobile phone (I don't expect T9 or anything like that  [Image: smile.gif] ) It would also be nice when browsing large mp3/video directories where a press on '8' would bring you to the first file that starts with 't'.

Weather doesn't seem too bad. I may pitch in and attack this one. I like the display that MythTv uses for its presentation better than the My Weather thing in MCE. Any thoughts?

Also any thoughts on what the best place would be to get weather info from? I'm from the US and don't know what international concerns there would be.

I suppose I should go and read the plugin post now eh Wink

Have you looked at the Weather plugin thats included with the release (also includes source code for c# and VB.NET)? Its a fairly simple plugin that works by gettings its information from msnbc.com in the same way as mythtv. Its pretty primitive, but does the job of showing how to write a simple plugin.

If you decide to take this sample further, keep in touch and let me know how you're progressing or if you need any help.

BTW, msnbc.com luckily also carries international information. The only thing that varies is the area. Take a look at the sample.

Yeah I saw the sample after I posted. I will have a closer look particularly after I get the app running. Should be by wednesday. Darn hardware problems [Image: smile.gif] Thanks.

It would be neat if in the TV Guide the start time and end time of a selected program is displayed in the bottom. (Not really a plugin but more a wish for the main app.)
