Hi all. I'm trying to get my web interface working but all i'm getting when I open it up is "page cannot be displayed". I can't find any configuration steps that I might be missing in the wiki, and I've got in enabled in the gbpvr config program. Is there anything special i need to do after installing GBPVR to get it working?

Thanks

What URL did you try? http://localhost:7647/gbpvr/index.aspx?

How about substituting the ip address of your gbpvr box for "localhost" ..............http://192.168.0.xxx:7647/gbpvr/index.aspx

I'll bet you have a firewall issue. Have you opened port 7647 in your firewall?

Are you trying to access the interface from Outside your home? Then localhost or 192.168.0.xxx won't work. You would need to open the port on the router or firewall for sure and then access the computer with your external IP...

I tried using my ip address, did not work. I'm accessing it from the computer it's installed on, so my firewall wouldn't be blocking it (Windows firewall is turned off, I use a hardware firewall). Also 7647 is open on my firewall, so that unfortunately isn't what's blocking it. Thanks for the replies though Smile

This maybe obvious, but you do have Web Scheduling checked on the misc tab, right.

It might not work if you've installed GBPVR installed in a directory other than the default.

The only other thing I cand think of is look through the logs for any hints.

I am actually have the very same issue.

The Web Server was working. But after I underwent an upgrade

to 96.12 + the addition of a new TV card - I cant get to the Webserver.

I am also trying to access the webserver on the same machine that it was installed on.

Used standard installation directories.

It is just like it got switched off.

Someone mentioned looking at log files - which ones specifically should we look at to find out what is going on.

How is the webserver started????

I had this problem also. The web server wouldn't respond at all until I opened the GBPVR config and clicked "ok" then the webserver started working again.
