Perhaps an inunifromed question about capability, but as a new user I'm considering some possibilities of integrating GBPVR into my HomeSeer setup. I note that there is a HS plugin that allows control of HS from GBPVR. What I'm wondering is there some way to do the reverse - i.e. control GBPVR from HS. Specifically, I'd like to be able to request specific recordings (or channel selections) from an external program (such as HS) that GBPVR would then process. I'm assuming that this would require some kind of software interface (e.g. analogous to a command line kinda invocation). Can someone point me to where I might find info on how to do this? I'm not a programmer so I'm not able to develop a plugin for this. Thanks in advance.

You can try the attached command line scheduler. If you run it without any parameter it'll give you some usage examples.

Thanks. I appreciate your responsiveness. I must be missing something or doing something wrong. When I invoke the program (w no parameters) I get error message from windows that starts with:

"Schedule has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

Followed by the usual dump and send to MS box. Same thing when executed from DOS box (instead of Run command).

Are there some conditions or things that need to be installed to use this? I'm running WinXP Pro with all latest SPs. GBPVR runs fine on same machine.

thanks

I suspect its not compatible with the current release. You might have to wait a few days until the next release is out.

What release is it compatible with? I assume you mean that latest release of GBPVR? I thought I had latest from the GBPVR download page, but I guess you're saying that I should wait for next one? Also, just to verify, I assume that GBPVR should be running okay when I try to run the Schedule program, right? Thanks for your assistance.

your guess is right. oh, and sub never tells the version number of the next release to come. only makes some hints when the next version is about to come...
