I have a newly set up system using GBPVR with a PVR150 and an MVP. Everything has been working well until last night when....

GBPVR woke my machine and recorded one show for an hour (Alias). This recording has no audio. GBPVR also recorded the next show on the same channel (Night Stalker). This recording has audio.

It seems the audio wasn't captured on the first recording. I suspect the wake from standby caused a problem? How can I determine if there actually is any audio in the file? And how do I prevent this from reoccuring?

Won't help the WAF if I have to read their lips. :o

Love GBPVR and this board
Thanks

Some PVR150's have flakey drivers that some times result in no audio. I have been discussing this common PVR150 occurrance with Hauppauge.

Can you please post the exact Model and Rev of your capture device? Its printed on the tuner label on the board. Can you also tell me which country you have configured you capture source for, and whether you have selected Cable/Antenna?

Hopefully this info will help Hauppauge get to the bottom of it.

Thanks, I'll provide the info when I get home and can open it up tonight.

So, the audio is not there at all? Can anyone provide the audio for last nights Alias episode? Big Grin

Thanks

Model = NTSC/NTSC-J 26032 Rev C199

GBPVR Capture Source - Country = USA, Tuning = Cable

Thanks

So far all the users with this problem have been NTSC/NTSC-J Rev C199. Looks like they've got something wrong with that batch, or the drivers for the tuner that is used in that batch.

Cheers for the info. I'll add it to the list.

To be quite honest, I dont know. Hopefully Hauppauge can find a driver fix that solves the problem, but I dont know how quickly that will happen.

The same problem is mentioned here in regards to other applications: http://www.shspvr.com/smf/index.php?topic=8885.0. I've seen it mentioned lots of other places as well.

I have the same problem with the pvr150, except mine only mutes 10% of the recordings. Also, it only started doing it since I updated GBPVR, so who knows.
