I don't usually run my computer with administrator privledges and i've noticed that many features don't work without them. One is the recording service. It only starts up with the admin account. I think this is what keeps the pause feature from working right. The config program crashes also. Any tips on getting around this? I have changed the security settings on the directory but still no luck.

as the administrator have you set up the recording process in the 'limited' users acount startup folder?

Actually, I checked back again and the recording service does run on the "limited" account... its the tray app. for status that doesn't run. I did move that to the start-up folder for the limited accounts. I still have the issue though. Below is a copy from the GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log. Is there a lease somewhere that I need to fix? At this point the app is frozen, at the "Starting Time shift mode" screen. I have to shut it down in the task manager. Again this works fine with the admin account. This may be because the recording service needs to be started and re-started using the Net Start/Stop commands which are not allowed for limited users. but is there a way around that?

Where is this lease this log file refers to? Is it simply not possible to run this program and pause live-tv with a limited account??

I think this "expired lease" can mean pretty much anything. Look at this thread for some info:
