Change MyVideos DVD Poster Image

I'm using the MyVideos plugin to view mpegs created from my DVDs. I would like to change a couple of poster images used by MyVideos. Looking at the MyDatabase.mdb file, I see where it's stored (VideoInfo table-->Poster field), but I'm not certain how to replace the image. Thanks for your help.

just place an image in the same location as the video file, with the same name except with a image extension
eg for "D:\my videos\enterprise\enterprise - 2x02 - carbon creek.avi" place an image called "D:\my videos\enterprise\enterprise - 2x02 - carbon creek.jpg"
my videos will see this file and update the database. then delete the image file (so it doesnt always update the same image when you enter the directory).

Why do you delete the image? Other plugins look for an image with the same name. Maybe you should store an artwork timestamp in your database and not delete the image.

It would be nice if they were left in place. What I've been doing is looking in the MyVideos database to find them.

i prefer not having a crap load of extra files in the dir for one file. it seems pointless (and probably one of the reasons why ntfs has multiple data streams). also it is a little quicker, dont have to compare to see if its the same file.

besides if people are using my vids they probably arent using another video plugin (what would be the point).

How about you add and option then, defaulted to 'leave files on the hard disk', and then everyone would be happy? That way, if the user isnt using other video plugins, and doesnt want extra files in their directories, then they can enable this feature.

Its not really fair that your plugin breaks other plugins by doing this.

ive had no complaints about this (other than jeff, which i doubt he uses my vids anyway), and still theres doesnt seem to be any point to use 2 video plugins, so theres no issue. if more people complain then ill think about it until then, i dont see the point.
