I havent been following here much, I use MyVideos pluging and I know (I think) support ended. Has anything new coming along?

Also, can someone remind me what replaced Zap2it?

FInally, are there any services here for connecting to web host movies ala the MS MCX stuff? I ran across a company called TheMediaMall today which is pretty interesting.

I'm told it can be ported pretty easily for those in the know...

The main successor to Zap2it is SchedulesDirect that has listings for $20/year. I've heard of another one called CT TV but don't know much about it. Those are your two best bets since they are official sources of EPG data.

MyVideos is the ONLY reason I am still using the old GB-PVR interface and not PVRX2. If there is anything that can do IMDB and TheTVDB lookups, I'll switch over in a second and gladly send some PayPal dough to the author. Smile

There was some talk about reven (the creator of the My series) to come back to GBPVR.. I don't know what happened? I think he wanted better skins or something..

Hi, I think you should try MovieWiz v1.0.0.0. It has IMDB lookup and works with PVRX2 also.
I also use My Videos under PVRX2. It does work but the Navigation is not the best as it seems slow loading, and Using Icon View is not very good but with List it is not a problem.
Just a option to Movie Watching.

Moviewiz is GREAT, especially if you haven't got much EPG data for shows. It's also actively improving.

VideoArchive (http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Plugin/VideoArchive) also handles IMDB (and TV I think) lookup. I switched from MyVideos since lookup in MyVideos actually never worked the way I wanted. VA also replaces the recording plugin.

Actually MovieWiz has a lot of info for IMDB. It has more than a lot of other products out their. It is pretty good Plug in for ISO file Play. Nice addition to PVRX2.

.. but does any new plugin out there let you do Episode Lookups to grab info for TV Shows that you have ripped from a DVD, for instance? So far MyVideos is the only plugin with that feature.

Sure. I believe Moviewizard does this. You point it to the Dir with the show and based on show/DVD movie name and episode number it finds the IMDB info.

IMDB is not the way to do TV lookups; they just don't have the necessary information for TV shows and episodes. TheTVDB is now the place for that, and it has XML ready to go, so no scraping is even needed.

MyVideos is to date the only plugin that I know of that did proper TV lookups. VA doesn't, and neither does MovieWiz.
