I'd like to get a copy of the Doctor Who scene that was broadcast on BBC1 for the Children In Need night. I tried downloading & converting the RealMedia from the Beeb website, but it doesn't look too good. Did anyone happen to record it? I'm not worried about PAL - I've converted all the Confidentials & episodes from the Eccleston era already. Thanks much!

Yep - I got a hold of all 13 episodes of the last season (Season 27 - or "Season 1" as the BBC is calling it). After 16 years, the Doctor is back, but I don't want to think about how long it'll take U.S. PBS stations to start carrying it.

From the download I got, the scene runs about 7 1/2 minutes - it's additional footage after the Christopher Eccleston -> David Tennant regeneration. The scene is Rose trying to adjust to the "new" Doctor (after the end of "The Parting Of The Ways"). It aired on BBC1 on November 19 as part of the Childern In Need drive. The link is dead on their site, but you still might be able to watch it if they haven't deleted the file yet (RealMedia Player required):

I hope they don't keep going through actors this quickly, or they'll have to give our Time Lord a way around that 13th life. Smile

It seems the scene won't be included in the new season. I got this from the BBC site:
Quote:The invasion begins at 7 on Christmas Day.

The Christmas Invasion has been confirmed as starting at 7pm on December 25. You'll be able to find out then what happens to the Doctor, Rose and the TARDIS, all last seen hurtling out of control towards Rose's home.
That was how the scene ended. The scene itself aired November 19. It had the full regeneration. I just want to get a DVD-quality copy for burning over.

I found a DVB-T broadcast copy on the newsgroups. If anyone's interested, PM me; I just need a couple hours to convert it to NTSC. It's about 237MB.
