rear audio channels?

anybody have any idea why i only get rear audio while in timeshift mode? while in LiveTV mode i get the front 2 channels.

i'm using an asus a7n8x deluxe motherboard (nforce2), with Logitech z640 speakers (set up to clone rear channels when true surround isn't available).
