Ive been using GBPVR for a while now, to view the dvr-ms files recorded on my MCE machine, through my MVP I have in the bedroom, works very well and no need to try and source a MCE Extender!
Having just installed the latest version of GBPVR, I love the addition of the delete button in the video library, no need to go back to the MCE machine to delete watched shows anymore !! Many thanks for the addition sub.
There are only 2 things remaining which enhance the 'MCE Extender' functionality of GBPVR/MVP ....
1. It would be great for files to be grouped - almost like in folders, rather than in a long list, I assume that MCE does this based on the file name as the all follow the same format separated by the underscore e.g.
this is the show title_channel_dd_mm_yy_hh_mm_ss.dvr-ms
2. the ability to access the meta data stored to give the programme details, which are storedin the dvr-ms file , this is described in more detail at
http://msdn.microsoft.com/smartclient/de...-ms_topic8
Of course, I realise that neither of these are ever going to be high priority for most GBPVR users, but i thought i would add it to the wishlist for a rainy day!
