Music Player works well until I try to initiate Icon View

The plugin spits me back to the main menu with - "Error:Object reference not set to an instance of an object". (If I set Display->Preview mode from config then this happens immediately as I invoke MusicPlayer.)

The musicplayer-PC log has the following entry :

01/12/2005 16:50:35[8] Got an unexpected key value 17
01/12/2005 16:50:35[8] Key data ControlKey, Control
01/12/2005 16:50:35[8] Control = True
01/12/2005 16:50:35[8] Shift = False
01/12/2005 16:50:35[8] Alt = False

Is this something to do with the artwork/images or is there something missing ?

Any ideas will be investigated fully.

What does the gbpvr.exe.log file say? Also, are you using an MVP or PC?

Although I have an MVP attached to the network - this error happens on the PC interface on the local GB PVR node. On the PC I am using ^B to invoke the Icon View, although ^Y, ^G and ^R all work OK.

Which KeyMappings fiel should be used, since a specific one does not appear to exist ?

Plugin Config entry :

<MusicPlayerPlugin>
<MusicFileExtensions>mp3|wma|m3u</MusicFileExtensions>
<SortTrackFirstToLast>True</SortTrackFirstToLast>
<StartInListMode>True</StartInListMode>
<UseAggressiveStartup>True</UseAggressiveStartup>
<ConfirmPlaylistDeletes>False</ConfirmPlaylistDeletes>
<PlayButtonAddsToQueue>False</PlayButtonAddsToQueue>
<CacheImages>True</CacheImages>
<ImageCacheSize>100</ImageCacheSize>
<MaxNumCachedDirectories>0</MaxNumCachedDirectories>
</MusicPlayerPlugin>

The gbpvr.exe.log file (ERROR level) is attached, These errors are generated at startup - there is no entry for when the UI error occurs.

These errors are not from the music player. The first 4 at least are from My Videos. The last one is not really an error; it is from GBPVR and refers to a variable that i in sub's private versoin of GBPVR I believe. I don;t know what the other 2 are from.

If you have both a PC and MVP running, only errors from the MVP instance of GBPVR are logged in the the gbpvr.exe.log file, so you will need to reproduce the error from the MVP and then look in the log for the error messages to post here.

Jeff,

I have done the lazy thing and re-installed GBPVR and removed all the unused plugins and now MusicPlayer works fine.

There were no config changes, so I can only assume I had a file missing or another plugin was contaminating the state of the program or db.

Apologies for not getting to the root of the problem.
