I have a multitude of junk channels, which I prefer to NOT see in the TV guide.
I have removed them from the channels tab, and also removed them from the recording sources.
The EPG updates (using labs.zap2it.com), and they're back every time.
I have removed the tick mark from "Complete EPG reload", no difference.
Half the time, I end up with blank spaces in the guide, with the channel name still there, but no programming listed. Half the time, I get channels out of order (like 23 comming after 80), sometimes with, and sometimes without the listings.
Is there a way to permanently disable and remove channels from the guide?
I havnen't checked zap2it to see if there's a method there, for editing my EPG...It would be easier to remove them in gbpvr, with the option to add them back if needed, like when my cable co moves things around again.

If you disable a channel, then it's just hidden in the TV guide, but your PC still needs to process all the zap2it data etc for this channel each time you do an update of the EPG

If you delete a channel, then when you do an update of the EPG, it'll look like a new channel to GB-PVR, so it'll create an entry for it.

You really need to do two things. Log in to http://labs.zap2it.com, and remove these channels from your line up, so that it no longer sends this channels information to GB-PVR. Next, delete the channels from within the GB-PVR config app.

How do you delete them from the channels tab? I was only able to drop them from the EPG section.

This thread reminded me I had a few hangers-on to clean out.

The channel will be physically removed from the database when it has been deleted from all the capture sources (unless there is a recording linked to this channel).

I know this is an old thread, but I am experiencing a similar problem. I removed all sources and all recordings, but I still have 3 channels remaining on the channels tab. Hummmm... :-) I added the sources back thinking that maybe duplicates would "force" it out. Nope... just duplicates even though I told it to remove unreferenced items. Thoughts on how to remove these items?

If you have emptied all your sources and recordings and have nothing leftSad why not just copy the empty.db3 file over the gbpvr.db3 file? - i.e. start from scratch??

Well I wish I had known that to begin with, but I ended up setting everything up last night and just assigning them weird channel numbers like 999999999 and then unchecking them in the Channels tab. I'd hate to have to go set everything up again, so if there is a way to do it without that I would appreciate the isight.
