I have been playing with 0.9511 for a week or so now and all is going well. Good work Sub!

.....except a feature that I was looking particlarly looking forward to

Quote:- Now remembers the last aspect ratio, and will automatically return to that aspect ratio.

Doesnt seem to happen for me. I have tried both VRM9, VRM7 and the aspect ratio does change. But then goes back to the default when played again(4:3?)

I wonder if that is something to do with the fact you're using ffdshow, which has its own functionality for managing aspect ratios.

Yeah, its funny the ffshow OSD isn't appearing so I assumed it wasn't acually enabled. I'll turn it off and retry.

Thanks.

Just a quick one: Where in V0.95xx would I disable 'use ffshow in playback?'

I can only see it in the MPV settings?

You actually have to go into the ffdshow settings and disable it from there.

Cheers.

Removed ffshow altogther and still no luck on this one.

Where is the 'saved' aspect ratio stored. Can I manually check / set it?

I found the area in the config.xml file I need to edit to add aspect ratios, but I'm not understaing the logic here...

<!-- Aspect Ratio settings -->
<AspectRatio0>0,0,1,1</AspectRatio0>
<AspectRatio1>0,-0.125,1,1.125</AspectRatio1>
<AspectRatio2>0,0.125,1,0.875</AspectRatio2>
<AspectRatio3>0.08,0,0.92,1</AspectRatio3>
<AspectRatio4>-0.05,-0.01,1.04,1</AspectRatio4>
<AspectRatio5>-0.05,-0.089,1.04,1.089</AspectRatio5>
<AspectRatio6>-0.05,-0.17,1.04,1.17</AspectRatio6>
<AspectRatio7>0.08,0,0.92,1</AspectRatio7>

What exactly do these numbers mean? I am trying to add 1280 x 720. Can someone explain these numbers to me? Thanks

Thanks - I understand how to set the ratios F7 scrolls through.

But this doesn't define the STARTING ratio only the setting called up and scrolled when f7 is pressed.

At the end of the day I want to always play in 16:9 without having to set it every time.

I hoped 0.95xx would do this because it was supposed to remember the last ratio used.
