How does one change the default video quality for recording?
Is there anyway to make sure that when you record a season of shows that you
don't duplicate the shows?

When you edit you capture source, on the screen where you set your card type, you can edit the medium profile to use whatever resolution/bitrate you want for the default. The medium profile is always the default.

If you're in the US and using zap2it, then you can just enable the 'dont record duplicates' setting in the config app.

I am in Canada and yes I am using zap2it, where exactly do I find 'don't record duplicates' in the config app?

With the 'Dont record duplicates' option, it'll only 'not record' a show if you already have the same show currently scheduled to record, or if you have a 'ready' recording of this show...but all this will only work if zap2it provide episode information for the show in question - often then just provide a generic season identifier, so I have to treat every show as unique.

What was the show?

rough cuts on CBC I scheduled to record whole season (all episodes)
