MyPictures and network drive

I mounted a remote directory as a network drive. In gbpvr, I can see all the pictures fine, but when I try and look through my MVP, it says that the drive is not ready. Did I setup the network drive wrong? Can someone give me some tips and screen shots if necessary on how you got it working. I am using MyPictures3.0.1Beta from a post I found from november.

I see mention of UNC, but not sure what that means.
