As a newbie im having trouble with getting the weather to show info on the main menu background as displayed on many skin previews. I searched the forums and wiki and read alot of threads and tried to read/edit various XML files in my gbpvr directory, but i just feel too stupid to get it working on my own.

I guess i have to make the weather plugin send info to a "panel" and then make the main skin show the panel on the main screen, but how do i do this? Im using the "HC contour" skin and would like it to look like this: http://forums.gbpvr.com/attachment.php?a...1135802751

I hope im not alone in this, i think many unskilled users would like an easy step-by-step guide to show stuff on the main screen like this Smile

What's the odds? After about a month of researching and just posting this thread, i installed "Video Archiver" at the plugin page and it solved everything. No scary editing of xml files, no difficult procedures, just install the frelling VA Plugin! Gah! Big Grin

You can probably remove the button(s) from the main menu using the plugins panel in the Config program but leave the dll in place.

Old Dog is correct. If you just want the VA Panel, install the plug-in and then simply deselect the Videos plug-in in the GBPVR config app.
