I tried to add a city to the weather plug-in and it doesn't get to the point where it lists the cities for me to pick one.

In PVRX2.exe.log there is an entry
2008-08-01 04:31:46.257 ERROR [11] Weather plug-in: Could not find any cities in California (code of California)

I tired this for several countries and get the same results.

Is anyone else having this same problem?

Has something changed at the site where the plug-in gets its information that requires a program mod in the plug-in? I was able to add a city about a month and a half ago.

I can add cities (UK) manually through config, but not via the plugins menu options.

Thanks. That did it. I forgot about that way.

I usually try to avoid using CONFIG, if at all possible, because of the very long time it takes to load and exit once you make any changes.

I added a city thru the config (making it 2 cities I have listed). When I'm in GBPVR and try to switch over to the city it never loads anything just sitting there saying Downloading Forecast. My main city (the 1st one listed) will load fine. Anyone else run into this issue?

I've had the same problem as LewE. Haven't tried the config method. All my existing cities work fine. Hopefully the author (Jeff?) can take a look at this.

You are right, the format of the web page changed. I spent a bit of time on it tonight and created a quick fix. My testing has been very minimal. Let me know if this works for you and I can post it as a real release.

Jeff

I tried it tonight on zip code 67552 and I get error messages about the web page. When I copied over the DLL it was the same size as the DLL I already had. Log file attached.

Thanks!

UPDATE: I went to msnbc.com weather section and I was able to see the zip code for 67552 fine. The first town I have listed is 80501 and it works fine. The second town 67552 comes up with the errors in the log files and in GBPVR just sits there saying downloading forecast.

I did minimal testing too. It did populate the cities for North America and I was able to add a city and get the forecast data for it.

Thanks for the plugin update.
