I am unable to download the weather forcast. I installed the weather plug-in, selected my city and then get a screen which shows:

Downloading Weather Forcast

Please wait while downloading weather forcast from msnbc.com, this may take a while depending on your internet connection.

I waited for an hour but no go. Here is my gbpvr.exe.log file:

I noticed in the zip file for the weather plugin a file named "Horizontal extended forecast skin.xml" I'm not sure where that file is supposed to go.

I am not sure if the package on the wiki has been updated.

The plugin I used from the wiki is the same as in your link. That is the file I used to install the plugin. When I paste the link from my log into IE it works fine.

I am still unable to download the forcast. I'll leave it overnight with the "Please wait" message and see if it is still the same in the morning.

I am having the same problem. I've been using Weather trouble free for months so this must be a new problem.

I had a problem installing the new patched plugin I reference in my last post. I could get it but when I installed it it did not work. I switched over to firefox, downloaded and installed again and it worked. Not sure why but it did

Same problem here. IE can handle small files for some reason. Firefox downloaded correctly and it worked for me.

Thanks for the info. I installed Firefox, downloaded and ran the exe again and weather is now working fine.
