Hi@all.

Is there any way to control the Outputstream of gbpvr to the MVP?
I´m trying to increase the picture quality because i have a lot of artifacts playing back my dvb-s recordings via the mvp.
I changed settings in the config.xml and also tryed to change the settings for
transcoding. But i don´t see any differences:eek:
How can i control what kind of transcoding is in Use?
Task manager gives me no information during playback.
Color / Saturation and brighness seems to be ok on my D3 rev runnig on S-Video
connection! But picture looks like a VCD grrrrrrr.
Plse help me out (i´m running out of money- i don´t want to tell my girlfriend how much i spent on this machine and still get no satisfying resultCool -she´ll kill me)
Ok i´m 44 - but i don´t want to die so young!!!!

When you record via a DVB-S card, the original broadcast MPEG2 stream is saved to disk, with no manipulation of the picture quality. Same deal when it is played back on the MVP, GB-PVR passes the MPEG2 file unaltered to the MVP for playback. There nothing GB-PVR change about the video, since the bitrate etc was determined by the broadcaster.

If you were playing back an AVI file on your MVP, then transcoding is used, so you do get the opportunity to do some tweaking of the picture quality.

Thanks for quick answer!

Hm ........
Why to hell the picture is that bad?
Okay i´m going to do some more tests.
I´m using the cyberlink muxer to record to mpeg - my hairs are getting grayer and grayer day by day!!!
Video outout of graphic card not good - xcard gives to much problems - and now also MVP seems to fail - uaaaaahhhhhhhh.
And my favorit ice-hockey team lost todays match - so the ice to the playdowns getting thinner and thinner :-(
Bad day ;-)

I dont know. This doesnt sound familiar. The only common picture related problem I see is the picture being too dark and a little too red. Most people are generally happy with the quality of the MVP picture.

What version of the Cyberlink mux are you using?

Maybe try the later Cyberlink 5.0.0.1307 mux to see if it helps. This post refers to where one user got it: http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=7...stcount=73

Remember to de-register the original one.

BTW
Same file played back via vga on a tft is not that bad !
But playback that way is not that flewless as it is over the mvp.
This stuff kills me ! Okay but i´ve to say, i´m very critical - my eyes and ears are too good - so it´s my own fault that i´ve to spend so much money!
May i give ATI a chance? May i change the nvidia6200 to an ati9250?
Playback over vga looks horrible if the camera moves . It looks like the playback is only 23frames

I cant think why you'd be having problems on the MVP. Mine looks good.

Maybe the only reason is that i´m watching the whole thing on a 42Plasma

LG42R4 107cm HDTV Ready Plasma.
So maybe you´ll se any problem in the picture!
