Hi,

I have latest version of GB-PVR. Comskip works great when I watch shows directly on my PC but just don't work through MVP.

I've tried unplugging and restarting MVP, no success.

When show start on MVP, I don't even see comskip blank spot on duration bar on top of screen. All the txt files are in the directory, they just don't work.

I know others have posted about this but I haven't found my answers.

Thanks !

Ok, I'm replying to myself incase someone else has this problem.

Turns out I hadn't disable one of the Hauppauge services. It was still starting automatically.

Once both services were stopped, everything was working properly including commercial skip based on comskip data.

maybe this is stupid question. how do you "disable" the two Hauppauge features?

Thanks.

Well,

There are two services for Hauppauge that need to be stopped. Easiest way to do this is go into "Control Panel"/"Administrative Tools"/"Serives".

Find the two "Hauppauge MVP" labeled services and in the "Startup" option, set them to start "manual".

That should do the trick....

I don't have any Hauppauge services in my list of services. Any suggestions?

They are only there if you have installed the Hauppage software.

You don't need Hauppauge services or software to run GBPVR. GBPVR has everything needed to run on PC and MVP. You need drivers for capture card, though
Win XP Pro SP 2
ASUS P5k-PRO Dual Core 3.0 GHZ with 4GB RAM
1 Seagate 150 GB SATA HD
1 Seagate 1TB SATA HD
1 Seagate 750 GB SATA HD
1 Hauppauge PVR500MCE
2 MVP (2 Wired / 1 Wireless via 2 Linksys WRT54G routers)
1 dead MVP (searching for replacement)
