mvp and comskip

Because of various reasons, I run comskip manually. I copy the comskip files(exe,ini,dict) into the show directories created by gbpvr. I then drag the show file onto comskip and it does its job. This works fine, if I view the shows on my PC the commercials get skipped automatically; but when I run them through MVP they don't get skipped. If you view the timeline bar, it shows the commercials, just nothing happens.
Any ideas?

Does it skip if you hit the play button on the remote during a time when the display shows there is a commercial?

I too have a quirk with skipping ad's. I've narrowed it down that if I use the FFWD buttons at any point when watching a recording ad skipping will work perfectly. Until I've used the FFWD feature (not Skip - just FFWD) it ignores the play button during ad segments.

If I suffer skipping manually the first set of ad's and then use FFWD, the next ad segment I hit play on to skip it instead jumps to the end of the very first ad segment.

This is always consistent and its consistent for each recording I play back - not for each Power on session.

I'm using whatever version the default one is on a new install. I haven't experimented with others at present but will if you suggest thats the fix. In some ways I'm loathe to play as its working otherwise but it'd be nice to iron out the last quirk on this side of things.
