Alright, I have this HD cable box with a firewire interface that i would really like to be able touse wiht GBPVR. On this website

it gives a plugin for MCE and says that this can be done with my model STB in both BTV and SageTV, but my question is, is this possible for me to do in GBPVR, and if so, what do i need to do?

No, its not currently possible. To support this, someone would need to write a new recorder plugin, in much the same way as normanr wrote the 'WDM software plugin' and Alibert wrote the 'Dbox Recorder Plugin'.

It wouldnt actually be very difficult, but I dont intend take the task on myself since I'm NZ and we dont have anything like that here, so its too awkward to develop and test.

If some one decides to take this, I'm sure I can give them some advice.

Welp, let this be my official request for a plugin for something like this.
Because a straight up link through firwire would sure beat the IR blaster I have hooked up.

I would be interested in that too. If I knew where to start programatically, I'd make it my obsession, but don't have the skillz.
