There is nowhere in GB-PVR that shows if the channel is stereo or mono.

Watch it using your regular TV. Most have an OSD that tell you.

Or, record it, and play in media player that will tell you.

In my opinion both of them could inform you that there is sound in both of the channels. But this can be same sound, from a mono tv broadcast also.

My TV says Strereo for Stereo sound, and Mono when it is Mono (I was surprised Headline News was mono, or at least was a cpl years back...then again, who needs stero news?)

My TV is Phillips tube tv, a few years old. My old Sony Trinatron could make the same determination.

I have Comcast...I just think they don't broadcast HN in stereo, or just didn't used to. They may have chnaged that. There really isn't aren't high audio requirements to reading the headlines and showing video clips. Now that they have expanded into news shows, they may do those in stereo now.

I know which channel is mono and wich is stereo.
But the ATI550 has a problem with Nicam stereo, with Powercinema.
I would like to check that this problem does not exist in GBPVR, or GBPVR switch to mono at Nicam stereo stations, as Powercinema does it. In Powercinema I could see this switching, here couldn't.
