I just updated to the newest version from version 0.95.16. Since the update, live TV won't fill the screen. There are black bars along the sides. I tried going through F7, but nothing working for the aspect ratio. Would I need to make a custom aspect ratio? I am using VMR7 because that is the only thing that will work for me. See the images and logs attached.

On a different note, the "picture in picture" when you hit menu on the remote, goes to the upper left corner, instead of into the blank space in the skin.

Did vmr9 used to work for you? Also do you see the osd menus when watching live tv ie tv guide, channel details? Lastly which mpeg decoder are you using?

VMR9 has never worked for me, so that is not new. When in any mode other than VMR7, the display is zoomed in on the center of the image so you can't see much.

I don't normally use the on screen menu because that makes my video all choppy. I occasionally use the on screen information to see what I am watching.

I have tried using the system default and Intervideo mpeg decoder, both with the same results.

I expect that may be because they'll be the same! I had VMR issues which I sorted by using the cyberlink decoder found in PowerDVD, you might want to see if that helps?

I tried loading PwerDVD and using that decoder, but there wasn't a change to the picture size.

I noticed sub told someone to change <VMRWindowedMode> from True to False, so I tried that and it worked. It looks like it did before now.

I still have the weird problem where the "picture in picture preview" after hitting menu on my remote goes to the wrong location on my screen only when I am using VMR7. Has anyone else seen that? How do I fix that? It's not a big deal, but it is annoying.

Yes, this is a known bug, fixed for the next release.

Thanks sub.

By the way, what does <VMRWindowedMode> do? What functionality or capability does it provide? Just curious is all.

If's just a slightly differnet mode for VMR. Its used to stop flickering when in video inset (video in window on menu). With this set to 'false' you'll see a quick flicker each time you press a key.

If this is a cause, then it does sound like your video card drivers are at fault.

OK, I'll have to check to see if there is an updated driver for my video card.

Thanks again, I can't tell you enough how much I appreciate this software and all of your, and everyone's, help.

This problem has come up again with the newest version. In previous versions, I have made the change to config.xml as sub told others to do and it fixed the problem. With the newest version, 0.9905, the change did not fix the problem. Any other recommendations?
