GB-PVR rules!

My Specs are

AMD Athlon XP1800
512MB
Nvidia MX440 (DVI out to 60" HD LCDRP)
SB Live 5.1 (digital)
Win XP SP2
FusionHDTV5 Lite

Using NVIDIA purevideo decoder, AC3filter, Overlay, DVR-MS mux I was able to watch live TV, record, playback. The CPU runs less than 50% most of the time. Occasionally it reaches 80%.

The only problem I have is while watching Live TV, if I hit the pause button to engage timeshifting, I get the dreadful "Object Reference" error. But if I hit ctrl-K to start recording while watching, no error.

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach your logs and I'll take a look.

unrelated to your error, but i am curious as to what video resolution you are running?

I'm running at 1280 by 720.

I'll reproduce the error when I get back home. BTW, I deleted all the plugins such as MyPictures and still get the "Object" error message when trying to start timeshifting.

Sub,

In Live TV, when I mouse click the pause button, then the Timeshifting screen shows up and then I get the "Object Reference" error message. The "Error log.zip" has the log files.

But if I click ctrl-Q (pause key), then timeshifting screen shows and then starts timeshifting. The log files are in "Success log.zip". Funny!

Sorry, I dont know. I've not seen this error before, and its not clear to me what is causing it.

Sub,

I still can't fix the problem. But I think the error is caused by OSD interaction. When I just press ctrl-Q, no OSD shows and timeshifting starts without any problem. But when I click the pause button on OSD, the OSD flickers and timeshifting fails to start.

I decided to use the wireless keyboard to control GBPVR instead of the wireless mouse. I customized the key mapping files so that the keys are more intuitive. Kinda hard for me to press ctrl and key while sitting on a couch.

Thanks for the great program. I like to customize everything. Since I only watch 5 channels, I even manage to have just 5 channels show up in the TV guide instead of the default 6 channels. I'll probably change all the skins for optimal viewing in 60" HDTV.
