Weather plugin causing timeshift crash on program change

I was having lots of problems after upgrading to GBPVR 96.12.. several times a day, GBPVR would hang and crash in timeshifting mode when the program changed (e.g. at 1pm a new show starts, and it hangs, etc.)

Looking at the logs everytime it crashed, there was nothing at all strange going on, except that it seemed to coincide with entries indicating the Weather plugin was downloading a new forecast. On a hunch, I disabled the plugin.. problem gone!

Anyone else having this problem.. or any idea why this would happen? I never had a problem with 95.16.. its only since upgrading that this problem has crept up.

I'm not sure if it's the weather plugn...I should check this myself as well.

When it hangs however, I can get it out of that state by pressing the blue button.

It's annoying but it works. This is assuming of course you are having the same issues I do.

If there is a way to ask GBPVR if it is currently in time shifting mode I could modify the plug-in to skip updating the weather in this case.

I suppose a quick way would be to query the database for the LIVETV_FILE table.. if there's a record in there, then timeshifting is ongoing.

The following is untested, since I do not have a tuner on my development machine, but if one of you wants to try it and see how it works that would be great. It should skip the update if video is being played (live TV or other).

sweet, i'll give it a try.. although just an hour ago, gbpvr crashed for the first time in several days.. so maybe the problem is something else? but for sure weather was amplifying the issue, since it consistently crashed multiple times per day... hope this doesnt turn into some phantom problem like that wicked 30 second hiccup bug of the past
