while i'm updating the EPG for the very first time I notice the amount of memory the application uses keeps increasing steadily is this somthing I should be worried about?

I still see the window "Processing Zap2it listings" and it's been running for about 35 mins so far but my LAN activity has been idle for the last 15 mins. I guess it's installing the list.

How long does it take usually?

EDIT: this is my 1st post so hello everybody [Image: cool.gif]

The very first time you pull in the zap2it listings can be very intensive and take a long time. I would expect the memory to keep increasing during this activity, and is nothing to really worry about (unless you run out of memory of course).

Effectively its pulling a large xml file from the zap2it site, then producing list of channels and their associated programmes, then it saves them to disk and frees the memory.

How long it takes depends on:
- the number of channels you have (how big the file will be)
- the speed of you network connection (how long it will take to download the file)
- and the speed of your CPU (how long it'll take you machine to process the file).

If you've got huge list of channels on your provider, but you're not interested in many of them you can log into the labs.zap2it.com site and remove them from your channel line-up. This will mean GB-PVR wont need to download them, or process them.

The first time you run it, it processes 14 days worth of listings. Each subsequent time only only processes a single days listings.
