I'm still getting overlapping programme information and can't seem to find a way to fix it.

Today, I thought I would clear out the EPG for all 3 tuners and having done this I loaded gbpvr to find that there was still an EPG. I don't understand why?

With multiple identical tuners all capable of receiving the same channels, is it only necessary to update one of them with EPG data and then map the other tuners to the same channels available on the first?

I have the check box set to do a complete EPG reload but it doesn't seem to be working.

the -onlyupdateepg argument might help your diagnostics.

Well it might if you cared to offer how? Smile

I don't have a problem running gbpvr with an option but what does the option do?!

What I'd like to do is also dump all the existing EPG data first but that's not happening so any further updates are a bit pointless without starting from a clean EPG.

Well, like the option's name suggest, it only updates the epg and then exits gbpvr. Come to think of it, there is a button for this in the config app. nvm.

Doesnt the clear epg button do the trick? thats odd, it always do for me.

That's why I asked, pressing the update button doesn't help because I want a blank EPG to start with.

I don't have a problem reading an xml file and populating the EPG, the problem is that i've got overlapping programmes somewhere along the line for some reason hence I want to clear it first.

As I said, I have gone through all 3 tuners and pressed the clear button on each but the guide data is still there.

What's important to me is maintaining the recordings that have been scheduled.

I have the same problem!

As far as i can grasp sub put the 'complete epg reload' in to wipe the EPG then reschedule any recordings.

He did say there was a bug with the first reocuring recording (in that it didnt get cancelled and rescheduled - causing overlap), but i seem to have this problem repeatedly.

Im finding it hard to understand whats going on, and i think its exclusive to XMLTV users as no US Zap2it users seem to have this problem.

Im glad im not the only one though!

Sub: what could we provide/do to help find out what the problem is?

Remind me in a few days, and I'll take a look. I'm a bit too busy at the moment.

Sounds about right except that in my case, these aren't even 1st recordings that are sticking around. I'm just seeing overlapped programmes.

Logic would say that a clear and reload would fix it but it doesn't seem to be clearing hence the problem.

you could always try clearing the EPG using the following:

gbpvr.exe -onlyemptyepg

It may not be any different from clearing the EPG from the config app, but hey, it gives you something else to do! Smile
