I have my setup connected to my (dated) stereo for a bit more sound that the TV set while play music or watching films. However I cant get proper sound to the stereo while in Live tv. It distorted and low

I have set up 4 channel, front speaker out to tv, rear to amp.

Hmmm

Sounds like you have a setting in your soundcard to do some sort of surround decoding? Usually there is not much sound on the rear channels, unless the sound is supposed to come from behind (hint: read up on dolby prologic). Perhaps you can set your soundcard to not decode surround sound, but instead send all sound equally to front and back?

I'll check, Funny thing is that both music and recorded works fine both to front and rear outputs, Its only livetv that wont work. Maybe this has somthing to do with that the sound come from the pvr150. Hoverver not sure as live tv sound is fine thru the front output.

I'm using the onboud sound on the Asus mobo. Maybr I'll put in old SB live that i know works. I find the onbourd stuff quirky.

Ah... it's only livetv that acts funny? I don't know if sound is handled differently in livetv mode than in other modes... maybe it does... someone out there who knows? Sub, maybe? Smile

Have you got the latest beta pvr150 drivers, they improve the sound of the card during livetv

Just to claify
Sound is fine in live tv thru the front speaker output to scart
Sound is distorted/low tru rear speaker output to stereo amp in LiveTV.

Sound is fine in recordings/DVD/mp3 both on front and rear output

So problem occurs only when trying to channel live tv to rear output

Will look in to new drivers, but don't want to rock the boat, WAF factor you know!

Sorry, I dont really have anything I can add to this one. I'm not sure what would cause this problem.
