Random Sound Problems with PVR500MCE?

I don't know where else to ask this, but I'm getting random sound problems when recording shows with GBPVR and my Hauppage PVR-500MCE. I've uploaded a short sample of the problem to:

The sound of the show is there, but it's buried beneath a "ringing" sound that is hard to hear over.

The problem is very random, maybe one show out of 25 or so, and can occur with any channel I record, and at any time of the day.

At first I thought maybe I was doing something on the computer that caused the sound problems, but I recorded 20 shows while we were out of town, and only one of them had the sound problem.

I haven't been able to determine if it's one tuner or the other, but I routinely record two shows at once, and usually don't have this problem.

Has anyone else experienced this, know the cause, or have a solution?

Just a brief follow-up... I emailed Hauppage about the sound problem and they had me download a new beta version that deals with a variety of sound problems.

However, since it has been such a random problem, I'll have to wait and see if it's a long term solution.
