Plugin Installation Confusion

I'm trying to install the External Recorder Plugin and, it being my first plugin (am I blushing?), I find the direction a little sparse. I *think* I've put it in the proper place (c:\program files\devex\gbpvr) but it doesn't seem to appear on the plugin tab of config. Now, it does appear on the... capture source(?) tab so, is that correct? Just curious.

this is correct.

there is a difference between 'normal' plugins and recorder-plugins. the later ones do not show up in the 'plugins' tab of the config app, but in the 'create capture source' dialog.
