I have a DVICO Fusion 5 lite and I have been doing some messing around with codecs and trying to get a lower cpu usage when playing back my dvr-ms reocrded shows and after installing and uninstalling programs I can no long see any live TV, there is no error only a black screen. I have tried the Micorosft, transport stream, and Cyberlink multiplexers. I can record shows fine and play them back with no problems. I can watch live TV with the goofy DVICO Fusion program. Snapstrem works in live TV mode also.

Thanks

What video decoder are you using?

Have you explicitly configured it to use this decoder or is it relying on the 'system default' setting?

For hardware I have it set to none-use software. For the software playback I have it set to Zulu HDTV now but I tried all most all the other ones. Unless there is some other decoder that I am missing.

Thanks

can you reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the gbpvr.exe.log and gbpvr.exe-native.log files?

Man not that is great service, I did not expect to have two replies so quick. Here is a zip file with the two log files.

Thanks again.

The filter I've highlighted below is the most likely cause of the problem. I remember this causing a similar problem for another user in the past.
Quote:19:45:03.112 VERBOSE Graph contains the following filters:
19:45:03.112 VERBOSE - MediaPortal Stream Analyzer
19:45:03.112 VERBOSE - MPEG-2 Demultiplexer
19:45:03.112 VERBOSE - FusionHDTV, Transport Stream Capture
19:45:03.112 VERBOSE - FusionHDTV, BDA Tuner
19:45:03.112 VERBOSE - Microsoft ATSC Network Provide

How do I go about either removing it or changing it so it is not used? I checked and I could not find anything in gbpvr that it was used. I checked some mux and other software and I could not find it there eiter.

Thanks for all the help.

Short of uninstalling MediaPortal, I dont know how else you can stop this from being used. GB-PVR isnt trying to use it. The MediaPortal authors have not thought about other applications when they installed this filter that forces itself to get used regardless of the application.

I uninstalled MediaPortal and this is what my log looks like now.
21:10:12.101 VERBOSE Graph contains the following filters:
21:10:12.101 VERBOSE - MPEG-2 Demultiplexer
21:10:12.101 VERBOSE - FusionHDTV, Transport Stream Capture
21:10:12.101 VERBOSE - FusionHDTV, BDA Tuner
21:10:12.101 VERBOSE - Microsoft ATSC Network Provider

It still does not work. I am having some trouble with some other stuff on my computer so I might go for a clean install and see how that goes. I thought that way back when I had both MediaPortal and gbpvr both working at the same time.

Thanks again for all the great help and wonderful software.

That might be the best bet.

If you not keen on doing that yet, reproduce the problem again, then zip and attach the gbpvr.exe.log and gbpvr.exe-native.log files and I'll take another look.
