Transcode processing - only on new recordings?

Sorry if this had been asked a million times before -
Is the transcoding to XVID from the processing menu of the config app totally automatic?
Does it only process newly recorded shows, or all shows?
And also - does it work for manual recordings?

I'd like to run a short test, with just a couple of recordings, and don't really want it to start working 24/7 on converting all of my old recordings...

Most people dont notice that there is a "ASAP" option for the start time. This can be useful while you're testing the feature.

Thanks sub! I've figured it's only for newly recorded, and the test went like a charm

I noticed ASAP and it's cool. Now the only thing that bugs me is what I just added in the wishlist...
