Request: To be able to mark a program for "No Transcode"

Hi sub,

I'm experimenting with the transcode these days (I know - a long time after others), and it occurred to me that most of the stuff I am recording I will watch and erase. But some stuff I know in advance that I will want to burn to DVD - and therefore it is better not to transcode at all.

I could simply tell GBPVR not to remove the old file and manually go in evey day looking for transcoded files, and removing the old MPG.

Much better if the recording quality profile had an option to mark it as "don't transcode".
Easy no?

Equally, I'd like to see the opposite. I would like to see an option to set transcode to either default to on or off as you choose and then for each recording profile have an option to flip the default.

I have plenty of things I do want to transcode and plenty that I just want to watch and delete and therefore not waste disk space or CPU time on.
