I recently bought a Hauppauge HVR-900 USB2 TV tuner, and have found GB-PVR gives by far the best picture quality and reception - infinitely better than the bundled WinTV2000 and other 3rd party apps I've tried.

However, I'm finding watching Live TV to be really cumbersome. I don't have a remote control, and therefore am using the keyboard up and down arrows to change channels. I can't find any way to navigate straight to a specific channel, or to bring up a list of channels and select one directly. With lots of channels this makes navigation rather slow and awkward.

If anybody could confirm whether I'm missing some functions I would be extremely grateful. I've checked the Wiki manual, but can't find much information on channel surfing, channel navigation etc. Perhaps there are keyboard shortcuts I've missed, or other ways of watching Live TV I'm not aware of.

Many thanks in advance for any help or advice.

you should be able to type the numbers and press enter to change channel. 2, enter, or 24, enter should work.

As for the other option, Ctrl-G brings up the guide and from there you should be able to select a channel (with enter again).

Yes, pressing the number, ie "2", then enter should bring you straight to the channel. Mind you, this channel corresponds to the channel alias as written on the channels tab at config and not to the actual channel of your cable provider.
