no PAL yet...i came close a while back but have made many changes since..
it's mostly just hard to lineup the snap and menus..the rest works fine..
[came out really ugly but workable]

it's just a batch file so you're welcome to play with it..Smile
[it does still work in 1.0.8 just fine tho Smile]

I just burned a show yesterday in 1.0.16, worked fine. Cool

Can someone explain how to use this via command line? Is it just something like...

burndvd.bat add "show.mpg"

I have modded the burndvd bat to create a PAL DVD which seems to work fine... I pinched a few parameters from BurnDVD but prefer the (dvd) menu created by showburner (stills from video) + description text rather than the 'plain' title & Time format of Burndvd. But I like the burndvd GBPVR menu & the ability to 'trim' recordings before burning them... Ho hum I feel a dll hacking session coming on when I have time!

I'll post the Bats when I have taken out my other 'enhancements' (like creating an ISO file rather than burning directly!)

This might help someone though...
I did have one problem with the DVDauthor process - it kept complaining about audio discontinuities but then stopped with a message like 'Can't fix audio because it is the first packet in the stream' rather than doing the fixup. So I only ever got one VOB file in the output directory and no IFO or BUP files...
The files burnt OK in Burndvd (where I was trimming them first) and I eventually found that adding a -ss 00:00:01 parameter to ffmpeg in adddvd.bat solved the problem (tells ffmpeg to start 1 second into the file) - weird (files were dvr-ms transcoded into mpeg).

yep, just like you have it.......burndvd.bat add "show.mpg"
and then when done adding, start burn with just plain "burndvd"
to delete burn list "burndvd.bat deleteall"
Big Grin

djmuk: try -ss 00:00:00.01 to see if that doesn't also work and cut less off..
but that really means you have damaged files...what ever's editing them isn't doing it quite right..[or may be the conversion from dvr-ms]
which may lead to other problems with the files with other programs as well..

Modded batch files attached, they seem to work ok on our portable player...
Essentially a bunch of variables are set at the top of burndvd.bat which set the size of the images & the output format, the 'videoopts' settings are pinched from burndvd plugin!!

Menus seem to work OK although they may need tweaking (simple enough using the same approach of creating variables) - I must admit I just checked that the navigation worked

I have the same error as a previous user.
Line 0 (File "C:\Program Files\ShowBurner\showburner2.exe"):
runwait($showburndir & "\snr.exe" & " burndvd.bat showbdir """ & $showburndir & "\""" )
Error: Unable to execute the external program.
The system cannot find the file specified.

I turned off my antivirus and I still got the error message.

is that on the installation or use?
if it's installation, make sure all dirs exist beforehand
if Vista, i'm not sure what needs to be done there...probably set the batch file and all exe's to 'run as admin'

just checking, are there any known issues with v2.5 (from the wiki today) and 1.0.16/ win XP?

Once I burn a disc with showburner (2 items on disc), I have to quit GBPVR and restart it, else any selection of "transcode" (say to empty the queue to burn another disc) results in a popup error dialog (I haven't captured details yet). Usually I can exit out of it and navigate around in PVRX2 again, but still any attempt to select transcode errors out again before I can try any transcode options.

Also, this 2 item DVD won't play in OS X DVD player- menu loads with the first item displayed, then the program quits with no error message (without hitting any choices). VLC (OS X) plays just one item, it won't show the menu to choose between the two. I haven't tried VLC on the PC, the thing is busy archiving shows to disc right now.

The disc seems to have workable menus when using GBPVR's DVD menu option, and in my standalone player, I haven't tried VLC on the PC yet.

What's the best way to get errors captured? IIRC you can't cut and paste out of that error dialog box.

Thanks-
