Live TV ouput clipped at bottom

When viewing live TV the bottom of image is cutted off the screen.. i've readed other posts and tried changing this parameters:

in config.xml with no luck, if i upper the image, the bottom is cutted how can i see the whole tv image??

Its most likely just the tv out on you video card is producing the overscan in this way. The best place to adjust it is the video card settings if possible. Otherwise, you could look at doing something like:

<OverScanBorderX1>0</OverScanBorderX1>
<OverScanBorderY1>0</OverScanBorderY1>
<OverScanBorderX2>50</OverScanBorderX2>
<OverScanBorderY2>50</OverScanBorderY2>
<OverScanVideoAlso>true</OverScanVideoAlso>

The exact numbers of course would vary depending on how big the videocard's overscan is.

I should point out that it is normal to not see part of the TV picture. This happens when you watch regular TV. You normal miss a bit of the picture on all sides.

It happens also when watching DivX Videos... i don't understand the way that gbpvr handles the output resolution... there is not an option to select PAL, NTSC, etc?? (I'm using WDM Recorder using Software Compression plugin) Are the resolutions hardcoded with different skins?? I want to use this resolution for all outputs: 768x576

Are you viewing this on your TV or on a PC monitor?

If you're viewing it on your TV (via video card's TV out), then it just sounds like your video card is producing a picture that is too big. GB-PVR does not tell your video card where to place the picture - its just using the whole screen (regardless of resolution) and assuming your video card is putting the picture in the right place. Most video cards provide utilities for adjusting the size and position of the picture on their tv out.

No i'm using my tft monitor and it happens the same than using tv screen. I've changed tv card right now and it works fine... right now using PixelView PlayTV Pro 2 and befor i was using WinFast TV2000 XP Expert. Using the same settings, the second card worked fine... :confused: Where can i change output resolution in GB-PVR? it's hardcoded in the skin? i want to use 768x576 PAL...

If its also doing it with your tft monitor, then its probably a bug in WDM Recorder plugin you're using. Sorry, I dont know anything about that one.

For display, GB-PVR uses whatever the available space of the GB-PVR window is, regardless of resolution. ie, you could be playing back a 720*576 video in a 1280x1024 window.

For recording (with supported analog cards like Hauppauge PVR150 etc), the drivers for the device decide the resolution based on the country code (ie, New Zealand = PAL, USA = NTSC, UK = PAL etc). I'm not sure if the WDM Recorder does something similar or has to explicitly set the video standard. You'll have to ask the author of the plugin that question.
