Hi,

I'm having trouble getting my Net Radio Channels listed.
I'm using v 0.97.7 with a mvp, but somehow the netradio channels are not listed when using GB-PVR with the MVP on a Television but are listed when I start the GB-PVR GUI (computer) and then they play just fine.
I tried .pls , .asx , and .mvp (that is what the MVP server uses) but with no luck . With the GB-PVR installation came 2 .asx files (test and test2) even these 2 won't show up.
Anyone a suggestion, this must be pretty straight forward I think.:confused:

It should only be able to see .pls files on the MVP, but the ones you've tried may not be in the correct format (ie, not shoutcast).

If you browse to the web radio stations, then hit 'record', it'll copy one of the pls files to your directory. This should be the correct format, and should show up in your favourites.

Thanx , got it figured out. It's a bit strange though. The .pls files generated from the shoutcast site look like this:

[playlist]
numberofentries=1
File1=http://84.94.225.85:7000
Title1=(#1 - 501/1000) http://disrael.net/chat.html
Length1=-1
Version=2

on the other hand, the .pls files generated from dutch shoutcast stations, look like this:

[playlist]
NumberOfEntries=1
File1=http://shoutcast.omroep.nl:8012/

And these don't work, although the MVP (with it's own software) has no problems with this file.

I used the first .pls as a template and changed the URL and title et voila !

If someone could tell me what the "numberofentries=1" ,
"Title1=(#1 - 501/1000)" , "Length1=-1" , "Version=2"
entry's do, would be much appriciated.

Title is probably the only extra one that is needed. Its usually the name of the station. It probably doenst matter what it says, but needs to be present.
