97.7 & adding 16X10 widescreen

Pretty straight forward - can Sub add 16X10 as some of us use this format.

im pretty sure he wants you to add 16x10 as one of the available ratios.

ie there are 4x3 and 16x9 now
so add 16x10.

You cant add 16:10 as a tvshape, because I've never seen anything with that shape, so its not configurable, but sure as reven says you can add whatever aspect ratio settings you want in the config.xml.

theres a lot of computer screens now days that are using 16x10, its a popular format for pc games

Also in the new VLC version 0.85 you can set the aspect ratio to 16:10

Its not there by default, but your can create whatever aspect ratio you want in config.xml

The previous version had an aspect ratio which worked for 16X10 - I noticed the 97.7 version doesn't & that's why I asked.

add:
<AspectRatioMode name="16x10" ratio="0,0.05,1,0.95" />

to the config.xml file in the <!-- Aspect Ratio settings --> when in 16x9 mode although I presume it will wipe these settings if you ever revert back to 4x3 in the config program

Many Monitors use that ratio, and Tvs as well. Its been around for a couple years now.
