My gb-pvr records fine, but if I try to play live TV the audio stops, and the picture goes jerky after about half a minute. Odd thing is that if I record and then play the recording while it is still recording it is fine. (Otherwise I would have thought it was running out of resources in some way)

Don't relly need to play Live TV of course, but I would like to understand what is going on and if it can be fixed

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

Sounds like you should try and fiddle with the setting for deinterlacing. Try setting it to "encoder passthrough" if it isn't already - it seems to work best for most people. Try some of the other settings otherwise.

Sub - Took me a while to get back to this - been working on other problems.

However the problem is still there. Live TV goes slow and jerky after a few seconds and the sound goes. This doesn't happen if you record then play back immediately and doesn't happen either when I stream live TV to a hauppauge streamer box.

The log files are attached. The time to look at is after 23.00 on 16/10, 23.10 to be precise. there were a lot of log files, but I am only sending ones with entries at this time and date; let me know if you need the others
