I am in the process of getting my old ATI Remote Wonder to work in GB-PVR. It would be nice to see GB-PVR support the ATI/x10 remotes natively. Smile

Other than that, I LOVE this front end, and trust me... I tried them ALL!

To be honest, native support is unlikely to happen. That said, most remotes already have software available that allows them to be used with GB-PVR.

I hear ya, what I liked about Media Portal (about the only thing I liked) was that it supported ATI/x10 out of the box.

Trust me, I will do what it takes to make my remote work with GB-PVR, i am by no means a programmer but I like the front end that much! Big Grin

Thanks Sub!

I use HIP b/c I have the RW2 that isn't X10 compatible. If you have the RW1 or RW plus then you might be interested in the remote wonder keyfactory and keymaster so that you can use ALL the remote wonder keys.

In anycase for RW users this site is your friend: http://remotew.free.fr/plugins.htm

Hi...
I'm trying to configure HIP to use the ATI RW with GB-PVR and I seem to be in a problem - HIP doesnt seem to recognize pressing a button on the remote.
should the ATI remote software be running in the background or not ?
how can i check why it doesn't capture the input?
btw - tried using the GB-PVR plugin from the above site, but didn't do much...
thanks

@gshlomi - did you try that option of "Remote uses toggle-bit codes"?
Not sure if it's relevant, but maybe.

Guys, to use hip you still need to have the remote wonder software. Install the full install of HIP which has all the plugins. Then load up the dll in the RW config app. The hip remote wonder dll can be in the HIP directory.

Then I think the HIP interface is the generic interface.

of course, all that was needed to be done was to load the appropriate DLL in the RW software :p

This post has been real helpful. One question though, how did anyone with a remote wonder insert the channel up & down buttons?
