Hi all,

Just getting into this new area. Got my PC going and the HP150 card up and running. Excited to download GBPVR and start tinkering with it. However, I can't seem to access the gbpvr site to download it. Site seems to be down?? Is there a mirror anywhere? If possible, I would like to get this downloaded today so I can start playing tonight!!

Site was just changed to a new provider. DNS cache may be pointing to old host.

ping http://www.gbpvr.com -----> 72.9.101.103

To clear your cache, at a command prompt type: ipconfig /flushdns
Then retry the website.

I can access the wiki ok. I can log in and get into edit mode on a wiki page. But it won't save my changes. Any ideas? Is this a known problem?

Working ok for me. Is it a particular page that's given you problems?

Hmmm....very strange.

I cleared the dns cache...thanks for the tip. I didn't know about that. I still can't find the site though. If I put http://72.9.101.103/ then I seem to get to the computer as I can see the standard apache web server page.

No clue what is wrong. I am trying to do this at work, as my connection is not fast at home. My work doesn't ever block any sites.

strange strange

I use virtual named hosts because I intend to host some other web sites on the same server. Only requests for "gbpvr.com" will be correctly sent to the correct web site. Long story short, you need to access it by name not ip address.

Hopefully you'll pickup the correct DNS entry soon. If not, you could always slap the ip address for gbpvr.com in your etc\hosts file.

Good point. It does seem to be specific to my UbuStream plugin page. When I try to save it I get:

Warning: fopen(wiki.d/Plugin.UbuStream,new): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /var/www/gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php on line 573
PmWiki can't process your request

Cannot write page to Plugin.UbuStream (wiki.d/Plugin.UbuStream)...changes not saved
We are sorry for any inconvenience.

Is blader_se still the point man for this kind of problem?
