Afternoon All,

Just taken ownership of an ADSTECH MiniDualTV USB analogue/digital tuner. Got it working OK with supplied software but am now trying to use GBPVR, because a friend tells me it is excellent.

am attempting to add an entry in the bda.ini file but do not know what the FILTER_TUNER and FILTER_CAPTURE settings should be. Any help would be appreciated.

You can check these names in GraphEdit (google for download). Choose Insert Filter from the menu, then expand the BDA categories and you'll see the names.

Thanks for the info but too many for a young pup like me to choose from.

I can drill down into......

+BDA CP/CA Filters
+BDA Network Providers
+BDA Transport Network Providers

I've also got Direct Show Filters which has a very long list software under it.

Any more guidance greatfully recieved and once again sorry for being thick.

I'm not in front of my normal PC to check so cant check exact names, but I think the categories are called something like

BDA Receiver Filters
BDA Source Filters

If you dont have these extra categories, then it sounds like your device doesnt have BDA drivers, which means it wont work with GB-PVR.

That's a shame.

Any suggestions for an alternative PVR that doesn't rely on BDA?

BDA is pretty much the only standard. If it doesnt support this, then you may be limited to the software that came with the device.

ThAnks HtV that helped.

I've configured BDA.ini as follows. Config utility now recognises device and will try to map channels, unfortunatley the Strength is 0 and Quality is 0 so no channels are picked up. Any advice?

[AdsTech MiniDualTV DVB-T]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-T
FILTER_TUNER=Mini DualTV USB, Digital TVTuner
FILTER_CAPTURE=Mini DualTV USB, Digital TVTuner
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

Do a scan then post your config.exe-native.log and I'll take a look.
