I'm running 96.12. I haven't installed any plugins or whatnot for a long time. My system had been running fine until about a week ago when all of a sudden some of my channels started looking very fuzzy. I'm using a Hauppauge PVR 150. All channels look perfect using WinTV and TunerAssistant, but under GBPVR LiveTV (preview mode or timeshifted) some of the channels are horribly fuzzy, like they're not quite tuned in right. I've tried putting in the frequency from TunnerAssistant, but the channels would not even display. Most of my channels are fine, but the few between 37 and 53 look like the attached image. I've tried different Video Decoders, switching from VMR9 to VMR7, enabling FFDSHOW filtering, and switching between all the different muxers. Occassionally a channel that was really fuzzy will come in perfectly crystal clear. I'm not sure what to do next to troubleshoot it.

Thank you for any assistance.

reproduce the problem, then zip and attach your gbpvr.exe-native.log and I'll see if there is anything obvious.

From you initial description I was guessing a decoder problem, but seeing the screenshot - that just looks like bad reception.

That's what I thought too, but every channel is crystal clear if I use WinTV or the Tuner Assistant. Same video source, so it can't be a reception problem.

I have no explanation for you, but it does look like bad reception to me.

I agree that it looks that way, but here's the same channel through WinTV:

WinTV does not use Directshow for tuning, so its probably something wrong with you directshow tuning tables.

Did you run any other TV software around that time? Some apps fiddle with the directshow tuning table frequency override registry settings, cause other apps problems tuning.

I can't think of anything that I've run over the past month or two that would have caused it. This box is soley for GBPVR. I found out that when I tried to manually input the frequence I missed a digit, which is why it didn't work. Manually putting in the frequencies seems to fix the problem, but are there steps I could take to restore my directshow settings?
