After switching to the SQLite DB, I've been experiencing a weird problem with recordings. A program will be recorded as expected and Comskip will kick in as expected but the recording stays listed in the "Pending" list and cannot be deleted. If I restart both the recording service and GBPVR the program is removed from the pending list but shows up in the "Ready" list as "Failed". If I go to the Video Library, I see the program listed there and am able to watch it with no problems. Any ideas?

Next time something strange like this occurs, zip and attach your logs and I'll take a look.

Looks like it's working now that I've restarted the recording service. Is there a way I can "recover" the recordings GBPVR thinks failed?

Assuming the file is correctly recorded and on you hard disk, then you could edit the recording's status directly in the database to set it to successful rather than failed. If you're technical enough to take on that type of task, the table is RECORDING_SCHEDULE, the column is "status". A successful recording should have a value of "2".

Thanks. Is there a (free?) program I can download to edit the database?

This sounds very familiar, see my post http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=16508

When I restarted the recording service, it would only record the first scheduled recording, then fail on the rest.

I had even removed and reinstalled GBPVR with no luck.

This morning, I removed .net1.1, .net2, GBPVR, and reinstalled (just GBPVR and .net2). I only have access through the webadmin, since I'm at work now, but the 2 scheduled recordings I set up seem to have worked, but I'll know more when I get home.

Don't know if I had to remove everything, but thought I'd remove as much of the equasion as I could, so figured the most aggressive move I could make would be to remove everything.

We'll see in a few hours.

Did your "failed" recordings actually get recorded like mine?

Until I started reading the posts similiar to this one, I never looked. Just trusted the GUI. If it happens again for the recordings I have scheduled today, I'll look.

I have similar problems too (recordings showing as failed but they do actually get recorded). This seems to be related to the following thread:

http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=16289

h00ch - the way I recovered my files was to delete my failed recordings in the GBPVR GUI and then export my recordings xml (under the Plugins tab of the GBPVR Gonfig tool). I then added new recording elements to the xml file that pointed to the recordings that were sitting on my hard drive - I found 10 shows that I had thought failed this way and can now watch then using the GBPVR GUI.

Thanks, I'll try that. Just 1 question... what do you mean by "I then added new recording elements to the xml file that pointed to the recordings that were sitting on my hard drive"? I'm not sure what you're doing here.
