Hi,

I have spent the last countless hours trying to get the "display on second monitor" option work as I had it on 0.96 of GBPVR to no avail, I have searched the forums as best as I can to see if others have reported a problem with no luck.

So my question is do others have it working on the second display (TV) while still able to use their monitor for normal PC activities?

So I read that you did have it working on .96... but it doesn't work in 97.9..

I believe that if your video card and the software/drivers are working right, you should have a split desktop (half monitor/half TV) GB-PVR just sends the image to the second display. Whenever I had troubles doing this I discovered it was that I did not have my multi desktop turned on...

I use an ATI 9250 with S-Video/Composite out. I discovered much better, alteranate drivers for ATI radeon at http://www.omegadrivers.net/

Hi Frank, Thanks for the tip on the Omega drivers, unfortunately I seem to be struggling to get these drivers to do the same thing.

I am wishing to have my standard WinXP desktop on my monitor and GBPVR on my TV-out port of my ATI 9600 pro card.
As I said I used to have it like this and once working its really great but I always seem to struggle to get it set up correctly. if you could provide some clues that would be great.

Kind Regards

Paul

I am not sure why this worked for me  Smile to be honest at this moment I DONT CARE :p

I changed my wallpaper/backdrop and it just worked!

Thanks for the help earlier Frank and I hope your info regarding the ATI drivers helps some other unfortunate soul.

Cheers

OK, I was quick off the mark with the statements above it seems the real fix was changing my TV out display to be on the left of my Monitor, this is obviously a bug in something not sure what though.

I have now been running this like this for the last 5 days without it trying to return to clone mode, so it does indeed appear to be an issue what side you set the TV with relation to the monitor, wierd!! for anyony else who may hit this problem the graphics card is an ATI 9600 pro
