Im not sure how long this has been going on, but I think it has been since i updated to GBPVR .97.9

On the automatic EPG update, it empties out the EPG, but when i click update EPG manually, then it has all the channels filled in.

Im using XMLTV, Windows Scheduled tasks runs the batch file to update the xmltv file at 1am, and GBPVR loads it in its own memory at 4am.

Have you checked your xml file. I had this last week and my data.xml (generated by XmlTvGui), only had the channels in it and no guide data. When i did it manually it was fine and has been ever since. Might just be a problem at the guide server end.

I'm not entirely sure what effect having "Perform Complete EPG Update" (or whatever it is) unchecked has. But you could try unchecking that, then at least your won't lose everything.

I would have though a quick check of the XML file should be done by GBPVR and it should not bother doing the update if there is no guide data at all. Then at least, when xmltv.radiotimes.com (in my case) has a bad hair day, i don't lose my entire tv guide, i just end up going a day with no update. But since i get 7 days worth that shouldn't be a problem. There will only be a problem if there are 7 bad hair days in a row! Maybe we could have an email sent out if there are more that "n" (user specified) days of no guide data. That'd be useful, save me checking it regularly.
