Thanks for a superb piece of softwareBig Grin

I was wondering if it's possible to organize recordings directories? I'd like to have shows for my children in one directory "Children", sportsshows in another and so on. Is this possible?

What is your ultimate objective here? i.e. how to you invisage accessing these recordings, from the recordings menu or from the videos menu?

Unless you plan to view these folders outside of gbpvr, the video plugin (or my videos) is the only method of browsing recordings where the actual folder location is of any real relevance.

I have a cartoons folder into which I have copied various divx files and a few recordings. The kids access this folder from the videos plugin but these files are unknown to the recordings plugin as there is no entry for them in the database.

One idea would be to open a feature request (in wishlist forum) for video archive plugin to move recordings to a folder based on the program genre (if available).

Just a thought!

If the recordings are saved as "DVDs" in the video archive plug-in, you can associate genre information with them and display them categorized by genre.

Thanks for the response! I'll have to fiddle around to see what will be the best solution, but is it possible to make some kind of playlist based upon recordings from various folders. I would like to have lets say an hour of cartoon to play for the kids in the morning when I want to sleep a bit more. My kids are too young to operate the pc.

or maybe just fall asleep on the sofa...

I think My Videos supports video play lists and may do what you need, although I have never tried it.
